Grandstream HT801 - Analog adapter + 2N IP Intercom

In this manual, we will show, how to integrate the Grandstream HT801 with our intercoms using direct calls and SIP Proxy.

Requirements

  • intercom firmware version - 2.30.2
  • HT801 firmware version - 1.0.21.4
  • optionally SIP Proxy - My2N, NetStar (4.4.21), etc.

Direct calls

There is no need for any configuration of the HT801 to be able to receive calls directly, you just need to know its IP address. The IP address can be retrieved by pick up the phone, press *** and after you enter a voice menu select parameter 02. If you have correctly enabled DHCP server the HT801 will tell you its IP address.

  1. In order to make a call from the HT801, you need to access the menu first with pressing *** and using parameter 47.
  2. After the message is played you need to dial an IP address of the called device divided with * and accept it with # or wait few seconds (for example 192*168*50*142#).



  1. Create a user for the HT801 and assign it an IP address, that you've found in the previous step in this format sip:<ip_address>
  2. Assing this user under a Quick Dial Button.
  3. If you also want to receive calls from the HT801, you need to set the correct Answering Mode in the intercom, it is set to busy by default.


SIP Proxy

  1. First of all, you need to connect the HT801 to your network and find its IP address, the IP address can be retrieved by pick up the phone, press *** and after you enter a voice menu select parameter 02. If you have correctly enabled DHCP server the HT801 will tell you its IP address.
  2. Use this IP address to connect via the web interface, default credentials are admin/admin.
  3. Enter the FXO PORT configuration and fill up the credentials for registering to PBX.


  1. Register the intercom to the PBX
  2. Create a user for the HT801 and assign it a number, that you've configured in the previous step.
  3. Assing this user under a Quick Dial Button.
  4. If you also want to receive calls from the HT801, you need to set the correct Answering Mode in the intercom, it is set to busy by default.
