Password RS232 - 2N® SmartCom/2N® SmartCom PRO against unauthorized configuration
This procedure serves as a guide for setting passwords for configuration via RS-232, there is no password set in default.
When you configure via IP, you will be always asked for the password that is set in the "Basic" see. Pic. 2!!!
- In tab RS-232, tick off the check box "Require password"
- Confirm "Save".
- Afterwards every time you want to do some configuration of 2N SmartCom, it will require the password, which is same as for registration 2N SmartCom to 2N SmartCom server in the tab General.
- Save the new configuration by the button "Save and restart".
