3.2.4 System Services

Communication Ports

Port 22 (SSH) is closed for security reasons in the default configuration. To open it use a console or this configuration tool. Enter the "root" login for SSH.

Warning

  • If you, despite recommendations, use the SSH protocol for login to the 2N® NetStar SW, any software warranty provided by the manufacturer shall be null and void. The system access is logged and intended for servicing purposes only.

Warning

If you use the SSH port anyway, you are strongly recommended to set the password!
