Settings

Direct Call

2N IP Intercom Settings

Basic Settings / Phone book:

  1. Position enabled - set Yes
  2. Name - set the personal name for the selected telephone directory position. This parameter is optional and facilitates the telephone directory search.
  3. Phone Number- IP address of the called party in the format sip:ip_address_grandstream, e.g.: sip:10.0.27.254.

Grandstream GXV3140 settings:

Account / Account 1 / General Settings:

  1. Account Active - set Yes
  2. Account Name - set the personal name for the selected 2N IP Intercom.
  3. SIP Server - IP address of the called party.
  4. SIP User I - set the selected Phone Number.

SRTP on GXV3140

Go to Account settings and to Codec Settings there set SRTP Mode to "Enabled and forced" and SRTP key length to AES 128&256 bit.

SRTP on 2N IP Intercom

Go to SIP settings in Services and in Advanced settings enable recieving and transmitting of SRTP calls.

For older versions of 2N Intercom and GXV3140

  • This guide describes basic steps to configure Peer to Peer communication between 2N IP Intercom and IP telephone Grandstream GXV3140. All names and IP addresses are only for this example, please change these information according to your names and IP plan.

Wiring

  • Connect 2N IP Intercom into IP network. Into the same network connect IP telephone Grandstream GXV3140.

2N IP Intercom settings

  • You need to specify IP address and subnet mask for your 2N IP Intercom.

  • Select a contact which is mapped for one touch call (e.g. for button #1 on your 2N IP Intercom). You need to modify Phone number for this contact according to your peer telephone. In the following picture there is 192.168.3.166 IP address of IP telephone.

  •  Set up SIP settings according to the next picture. IP addresses should match to your network plan.

  • In the settings of Video codecs you need to specify RTP payload type. Number "0" means that  there is no payload type (2).

Settings of IP telephone Grandstream GXV3140

  • In these settings do not forget to leave the Use Random Port check box empty.

  • In the next picture you can find SIP settings for Grandstream. Set Local SIP Port to 5060.

  • In General Settings you need to specify IP address of  SIP server. This is IP address of the peer partner.
