5.10.5 Soft Modem

This subsection helps you use the software modem.

• Enable SW Modem – enable/disable the SW modem. The SW modem takes precedence over the HW modem.
• State – display the SW modem state
  • Stopped 
  • Connecting
  • Connected
• Log verbosity – set the SW modem logging level.
• Capture – used for debugging. Specify how many seconds of recording to record. (0 = off).
• V42 –  enable/disable optional security of transmitted data using V42.
